ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Overview
The Academic Excellence Award recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the classroom while actively participating in FFA. This award celebrates students who have balanced academic success with leadership, service, and involvement in agricultural education, reflecting their commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom.
Requirements for All Applicants
Applicants for the Academic Excellence Award must meet the following eligibility requirements.
- Be currently enrolled in a Michigan Agricultural, Food, and Natural Resources Education (AFNRE) program.
- Maintain an active and satisfactory Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE).
- Demonstrate good character, leadership, and citizenship.

| AFNRE Instruction | No minimum requirement | Completed at least two years in a four-year program or two semesters in a two-year program and enrolled in a third semester |

Important Information
Members may earn each level only once and may receive only one level of recognition per year. Students are not required to earn the Silver Academic Excellence Award before applying for the Gold Academic Excellence Award, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following materials to be considered for the Academic Excellence Award.
- Completed Academic Excellence Award application
- Current official copy of transcript
