STATE TALENT

Overview

 
The Michigan FFA Talent Program showcases members with a passion for performing. Whether your talent is singing, dancing, playing an instrument, or another performing art, this program provides the opportunity to perform on stage during the Michigan FFA State Convention. Share your talents, gain valuable stage experience, and help create a memorable convention experience for members and guests.

Performance Standards

Michigan FFA is committed to providing a welcoming and family-friendly environment for all participants.
When selecting your performance:
  1. Choose material that is appropriate for a general audience.
  2. Songs and performances may not include profanity or themes related to excessive drinking, drug use, violence, sexually explicit content, or other inappropriate material.
  3. Songs with inappropriate language may be approved if appropriate lyric substitutions are made.
  4. Overtly religious or political performances are not permitted.
  5. All performances will be reviewed and approved by the Michigan FFA Association before State Convention to ensure they align with the organization's standards and expectations.

Performance Guidelines

If selected to perform at State Convention:
  1. Perform the same act submitted in your audition.
  2. Report backstage at the designated time.
  3. Follow all Michigan FFA performance, attire, and stage guidelines.
  4. Introduce yourself by name and FFA chapter only.
  5. Following your performance, you may offer a brief thank you.
  6. No additional remarks are permitted before or after the performance.

Attire

Unless the performance requires a specific costume or uniform, performers are expected to wear Official FFA Dress while on stage.

Application Requirements

  1. Completed Michigan FFA Talent Application
  2. Link to an unedited YouTube audition video (set to Unlisted)
  3. Required signatures from applicant, parent/guardian, and advisor
Audition Video Requirements
  1. Submit an unedited video of the performance.
  2. Upload the video to YouTube and set the privacy setting to Unlisted.
  3. Include the YouTube link in your application.
