BUILDING OUR MICHIGAN COMMUNITIES
Overview
The Building Our Michigan Communities (BOMC) Award recognizes FFA chapters that strengthen their schools and communities through meaningful service projects. The program celebrates chapters that identify local needs, make a positive impact, and help build stronger communities across Michigan.
Requirements for All Applicants
Chapters qualify for BOMC recognition by completing activities that are designed to guide chapters through the complete community development process, including:

| Partner | Collaborate with civic organizations, community leaders, government agencies, and alumni. |
| Implement | Complete the project and involve community members throughout the process. |
| Promote | Share the project through local media and public outreach. |
| Reflect | Evaluate the project's success and recognize those who contributed. |
Completion Requirement
Complete 12 of the 17 activities listed in the official application.
Application Requirements
To submit a complete Building Our Michigan Communities application, chapters must provide:
- A completed Building Our Michigan Communities (BOMC) application.
- Signatures from the chapter president, advisor, and principal or superintendent.
