NATIONAL & SUPERIOR CHAPTER
Overview
The National Chapter Award Program recognizes FFA chapters that plan and carry out a well-rounded Program of Activities (POA). Using the National Quality Chapter Standards (NQCS), chapters develop activities that grow leaders, build communities, and strengthen agriculture while providing meaningful experiences for all members.
Requirements for All Applicants
All chapters that are chartered by the Michigan FFA Association are eligible to participate in the National Chapter and Superior Chapter Award programs. Chapters are eligible for recognition in the program each year. Only chapters that have submitted a Program of Activities for the current year are eligible to participate in the National Chapter Award Program.
To qualify for state or national recognition, chapters must complete 15 activities: one activity for each of the five National Quality Chapter Standards in each of the three divisions.

Quality Standards
In addition to completing the required activities, chapters must meet the minimum requirements outlined in the National Quality Chapter Standards.
Application Requirements
National Chapter Award
To be considered for the National Chapter Award (Gold, Silver, or Bronze), chapters must:
- Complete Form I of the National Chapter Award Application
- Complete Form II of the National Chapter Award Application
- Submit a current Program of Activities (POA)
Superior Chapter Award
To be considered for the Superior Chapter Award, chapters must:
- Complete Form I of the National Chapter Award Application
- Submit a current Program of Activities (POA)
Note: Chapters applying for the National Chapter Award are automatically considered for the Superior Chapter Award.
