MEMBERSHIP, WAIVERS, & AET PARTICIPATION
Before participating in any Michigan FFA conference, contest, application, or other state-level activity, students and advisors must complete a few important requirements. Use the resources below to verify eligibility, complete required forms, and prepare participants for state events.
Membership Eligibility
Students must be listed on their chapter’s official membership roster by the published state membership deadline to participate in Michigan FFA-sponsored conferences, contests, applications, and other state activities.
Complete the AET Waiver
Every participant attending a Michigan FFA state event must complete the annual AET Waiver and Code of Conduct before participating. Advisors can also verify that waivers have been completed for their chapter.
Add Participants in AET
Advisors must add participating students to the appropriate AET event calendar. This allows the Michigan FFA Office to verify membership and confirm completion of the required AET Waiver and Code of Conduct before the event.
Annual Waiver Reminder
The AET Waiver and Code of Conduct must be completed once each membership year. A waiver completed during a previous membership year does not carry forward.
