AFNR COMMUNICATION SCHOLARSHIP
Overview
The Howard Heath Memorial Endowed AFNR Communications Scholarship supports Michigan State University students preparing for careers in agribusiness or agriscience while developing knowledge and experience in agricultural communications. The scholarship recognizes students pursuing careers in areas such as agricultural advertising, public relations, and farm broadcasting.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled as a full-time student at Michigan State University with junior status and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Be pursuing a degree in an eligible program.
- Demonstrate a commitment to a career in agribusiness or agriscience.
- Demonstrate an interest in agricultural communications, including areas such as farm broadcasting, agricultural advertising, or public relations.
Eligible Degree Programs
- Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Education (AFNRE)
- Environmental Studies and Sustainability
- Sustainable Parks, Recreation, and Tourism
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit the following materials:
- Completed Howard Heath Memorial Endowed Scholarship Application
- Two letters of recommendation from non-MSU AFNRE team members
- Transcript(s) of academic work completed beyond high school (not required for currently enrolled MSU students)
- Essay (maximum two pages) explaining Why I Want to Work in Agribusiness/Agriscience with a Focus on Agricultural Communications
